I was talking to an old friend a few days ago and we got to talking about work/life balance and I said that I treat my life as if its full of mini projects, mini challenges.
I’ve found as I’ve grown with my role and matured in age that I am able to better cope with stress. If you look at what is happening in the world today, there’ s definitely been a few of those challenges recently. I take each day at a time, yes I have my long term goals and want to be very successful in what I do, but sometimes you just need to slow your pace down a bit and truly understand whats’ important to you. A great actor once said “life is a box of chocolates”, it’s a great metaphor that basically says you don’t know what life is going to throw at you, its not really something that you can control. For instance did we all know we’d be sat in our houses for several months or that we’d be walking around in masks being controlled by a virus, nope I certainly didn’t. Did you?
So I say take your life step day by day, do things you love to do, never second guess your choices. Take care of your family and work as hard as you can and remember life balance is everything. Life truly is for the living and you only get one chance at it as Brad Mondo says “Don’t forget to Live your second Life”
